Job Overview
Boleyn Recovery & Fleet Services is seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Vehicle Workshop Manager to oversee operations within our busy commercial vehicle workshop. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who excels in managing workshop operations while spending 50% of their time on productive tasks, including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.

As a key player in maintaining our 100% ATF pass rate, you will lead a team of skilled technicians to deliver high-quality results while ensuring the workshop runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Workshop Operations: Supervise and manage the daily workflow to ensure the efficient and timely completion of all jobs.
• MOT Standards: Oversee and maintain a 100% ATF pass rate, including MOT preparation, conducting quality checks, and presenting vehicles for testing.
• Productivity: Dedicate 50% of your time to hands-on tasks, including diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs of HGVs, LGVs, and other commercial vehicles.
• Leadership: Motivate, mentor, and manage a team of technicians, promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
• Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction with the quality of work delivered.
• Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Resource Management: Plan and allocate resources effectively, manage stock levels, and coordinate with other departments to optimise operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a commercial vehicle workshop management role.
• Strong technical knowledge of HGVs, LGVs, and other commercial vehicles, including diagnostics and repairs.
• Extensive experience in MOT preparation and presenting vehicles for testing.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to upholding high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
